Volvo has recently announced a recall for several versions of the S60 because of a problem with an oil pressure gauge.
[Romania News] According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of 30,929 units of the Volvo S60 have been affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers in order to get the problem with the faulty oil pressure gauge solved. The NHTSA says that this gauge may not alert the driver of the low oil pressure situation and the vehicle can be driven until it will stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
The Swedish based automaker is currently in the process of notifying owners of the S60 Sedan and the affected vehicles are from the 2011 and 2012 model years, being equipped with the five-cylinder engine, with the B5254T5 code. These vehicles have been assembled between the 22nd of June 2010 and the 14th of May, 2014. The company’s dealership network will update the cars’ software which will solve the problem with the oil pressure gauge, free of charge.
